The reasons behind
It is with conviction that we announce our definitive break-up with iFVPA.
Indeed, few days ago, this entity decided to ban FVPA France from its “community” network, as well as all the communities hosted on FVPA.eu.
It is a regrettable, meaningful and significant decision, whose reasons are many.
On one hand, the main reason mentioned and used by iFVPA to explain our eviction is the alleged organisation and willingness to organise European / Internationals competitions on our Pro Club welcoming platform: FVPA.eu.
We warmly invite you to go to our website and check by yourself that there is absolutely no official competition between European clubs organised. Moreover, several European admins were informed and aware that these kind of competitions would not take place on FVPA.eu because it was not our goal.
Therefore, the iFVPA had the possibility to know the truth but simply preferred to listen to unfounded rumours.
On the other hand, the iFVPA accuses us to organise the FCWC (FVPA Club World Cup) without having the right to do so.
It is important to notice two key elements here:
Despite an opaque and controversial organisation chart, we have always respected the fundamental rules of this structure in order to grow the Pro Club scene, while bringing our knowledge and expertise.
It is now time to uncover the real reasons of our eviction, which threatens each community within iFVPA.
This whole issue begins from the fact that FVPA.eu is hosting a tool for managing tournaments. The first community who decided to move on to this new tool was France, by leaving the VPN. That is precisely this event that put our entity into the crosshair of the iFVPA Director. It is also important to notice that, since this year, the iFVPA big boss also happens to be the creator and unique beneficiary of the VPN.
The truth is, he can't accept that our national championships are no longer on the VPN which is a "shortfall" for him. A money created by the web activity that he benefits from the beginning without returning anything to the Community.
It is the pecuniary motivation that pushed them to bring as many communities as possible on the VPN without following their own rules, especially by adding "Partners communities" at the expense of the already existing communities with the same nationalities.
Let's mention the case of FVPA UK, who has constantly been weakened until disappearing due to the sharing of the VPN to “competitors” websites. The end justified the means.
Promoting the tool at the expense of the communities is a huge and serious mistake.
That is why, while still being part of the iFVPA charts, we alerted and warned against these harmful excessive behaviours, by proposing an in-depth restructuring of the iFVPA in order to achieve the consolidation of how it operates. Sadly, as always, our proposals were ignored and laughed about.
According to us and since too much time, the iFVPA has totally forgotten several crucial key elements.
This is not up to iFVPA to dictate the conduct and the way of managing national communities. This organisation should only be an intermediary, the meeting of all the communities with their own singularity. The simple and only one goal of the iFVPA should be the organisation, the running of international competitions and nothing else. That's what iFVPA should be and what iFVPA no longer is with their recent unilateral and without prior consultation decision of firing an ancient and recognized community like FVPA France.
FVPA France can boast itself of being a united community who gathers in the same place PC, XBOX and PS4 communities, which is a rare and precious thing in the Pro Club universe.
For our part, we have thought and designed FVPA.eu in order to simply unite all the communities and propose them a brand new, constantly updated and interactive technical platform.
Henceforth, it seems more important than ever to unify and rebuild this once so clear network but now so fragmented and divided due to financial motivations.
If the FVPA network means nothing to them, it means everything to us and we will defend and protect it, no matter what happens. That is why our knowledge and expertise are now fully dedicated to FVPA.eu.
Through our website and the tool 'MyFVPA', we reach out to the communities, with the providing of a dedicated website, a forum and our tool. It is free, without asking anything in return, with no obligation except the sharing of common values, far away from the lure of profits at any cost.
According to us, each community has his own wealth to offer, smart and competent people to get in touch with, a synergy to create in ambitious projects in order to raise the Pro Club to his best.
Our vision of a united network starts with a clear and relevant organisational structure, in order to formalize the interactions between people, promote debates, and develop projects.
A democratic process is mandatory and must be created: local community decision making must prevail instead of a Board elected by nobody except themselves.
This kind of organisational structure unifies communities and prevents all the abuses that currently happens in iFVPA. It establishes a real legitimacy, guarantees transparency and proximity. It is also a sign of confidence towards the local leaders as well as the main actors, clubs and players who are increasingly feeling that iFVPA is turning into a group of people gathered by their personal interests in their "Ivory Tower" where everything is decided unilaterally, far away from clubs or players concerns and questions.
To summarise, since the launch of FVPA.eu, we have contacted and were contacted by many communities to provide them our tool. This is particularly the case of the Germans.
By joining us, German leaders had full power and authority over our tool, while keeping their total independence. There was no intrusion from our side in regards to their domestic political management.
This is our creed: we invite communities to join us but we have never forced anyone, unlike what iFVPA tried once again to convince people with. Unfortunately, Germans from FVPA.de who had our support for more than a year, were forced by Juan, iFVPA Director and VPN boss / creator to quickly go back on his tool by threatening them to be, like us, banned from the iFVPA. It is a shameful method that says a lot about the iFVPA policy.
We also accepted the arrival of many communities in additions to the Germans, such as the Brits, forsaken by FVPA.uk, Portuguese, Turks and many Arabic countries. In most cases, these communities have made the first steps towards us. From this point we do not have to blame ourselves contrary to what the iFVPA director states.
From now on we consider our relationship with iFVPA, broken. We don’t recognize ourselves in their greedy approach and lack of community ethics and values that were set at the creation of the iFVPA. We no longer consider this entity as legitimate for its original mission.
That is why, starting today, we have decided to organise European and International competitions. We will soon announce our offers, some with cash prize, for all those who want to take part.
Even though part of our admins had the opportunity to continue with iFVPA, we all prefer to focus on FVPA.eu’s future.
We trust your foresight.
Be assured that we will continue to work to ensure this game is above all your entertainment, our enjoyment. At the same time, our powerful tools will continue to make everyone’s life easier.
FVPA regards,
The FVPA.eu crew
